Abir Hashem is a documentary film producer, she started her university studies in law, and then moved to work in the film industry.

She started her film experience in Beirut with her brothers and they opened together a production company called “Solo Films”. She worked as assistant and executive producer first on Documentaries, corporate videos and commercials and this led her to work into the film industry.

She has worked as executive and production manager, as well as local producer, producer and assistant producer on several documentaries and short films.

Abir was selected from the Eurodoc and Docmed to participate in the training program 2011, that worked on a project basis, on international co-production of creative documentaries.

Abir is also a part of DOCUDAYS “Beirut international Documentary Festival” members, she’s been the Executive Director for 5 years.
