Yes, very serious. The title is designed to expose the fact that there has always been a solution available; equality.
This film is about equality, which makes me on everybody’s side. It’s my belief that oppression harms the humanity of the oppressed as well as the humanity of the oppressor. While this happens in different ways, ultimately, I believe we’re all in this together.
While emotionally I resonate more with the oppressed, my aim is to find ways to empower the oppressed, and also inspire both societies of the oppressor and colluding societies, so that all are moving towards equality.
By focusing on ‘equality’, I believe all the issues, and solutions, become simpler. Not easy, but simpler. As to what makes a difference, this will depend on your reaction, and others…
This film documents the work of individuals who believe, perhaps in different ways, that being involved makes a difference. As to my own personal belief, I hold that anything less than equality for all is ultimately unsustainable. While the history of the world is riddled with wars, as societies I am of the impression that we are gravitating towards equality and human rights.
This is my personal effort, within my current capacity, to contribute to human rights and equality. It is my hope that it would inspire similar action depending on your capacities and resources, whether material, or otherwise.
